Marbling + Coloured Clay - 6 weeks, 3 hours per week, materials included. In this 6-week session we will discover a dynamique techniques for bringing a touch of flaire to your thrown or hand-built projects: colouring clay + marbling. We will combine white porcelaine with either coloured clay or with a brown stoneware to achieve a marbled finish. We will work primarily on the wheel, however handbuilding can also be explored. Basic wheel throwing or handbuilding skills are an asset. You will leave the class with approximately 10-15 personalized pieces. This class may be repeated and students can explore new projects in each session.
Basic ceramics skills are requires for this class. If you are new to clay please begin with Level 1 Wheel Throwing or 4-week Handbuilding.
