Come discover the potential of handbuilding, on your own or with a friend! This 2.5-hour workshop offers students of all levels a hands-on experience with clay. In this class you will learn the basics of handbuilding: how to roll a clean even slab of clay, how to design and repeat forms from a paper template, and how to attach handles or other decorative elements to your form.
You’ll work with porcelain to create and decorate 1 to 2 personalized cups, vases, small plant pots, or pouring vessels of your own design. You will finish the workshop by decorating your pieced with coloured engobes and underglazes. After the workshop, your pieces will be dried, fired, and glazed with a transparent finish and fired by the Atelier Make team.
Freshly brewed tea and sparking water are included.
Your creations will be ready in 4 weeks. Maximum of 10 students per group.
