Our private classes offer a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our 2,500sf sun-filled creative oasis, with views of Mount Royal. Private classes are designed to provide a hands-on experience with clay to students of any level. Each two-hour class is tailored to the student's skill level. Templates and samples from by our collection are available to inspire your project. You can also bring your own project ideas and we will guide you through the process of bringing them to life. Tea and sparkling water are included. Please let us know if you would like to bring your own beverages and snacks.

Hand-building (2h): This class is designed to help you realize one personal project per session. For beginner students we will suggest several project options for you to choose from: cups or mugs, vases or creamers, or small plates/platters). For intermediate and advanced students we can assist you in realizing a personal project from start to finish.
Wheel throwing (2h): This class provides an introduction to working on the pottery wheel. Students will learn the essential skills required to make a small cup or bowl. This is an “experiential” class, meaning the end result is not the primary focus of the class. Students have the option of keeping their best piece, which will then be trimmed, fired, and glazed by the Atelier Make team. Work will be ready for pick up 3-4 weeks after the class. For beginners the class provides an initial experience. For intermediate and advanced students this class is geared towards perfecting specific skills. If you are looking for a project-based class we recommend the handbuilding option.
Painting on Ceramics (1.5 h): Paint, relax, and have fun! One mug or two small plates per person are included in the price. Additional pieces are available for a fee. All pieces are handmade here at Atelier Make. Our team will handle the firing and glazing of your pieces. Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. This activity is suitable for all ages and perfect for children 5 and up.
